MS Nanomedicine

Mission:

The main goal of this advanced degree program is to provide our graduates with in-depth knowledge and understanding to conduct research in the multidisciplinary field of Nanomedicine and make them distinct by providing the opportunities to work in a collaborative environment with highly professional researchers where they can translate the basic sciences research through innovative and creative approaches to offer the best possible services to society and humanity at large.

The students will conduct their research at NUMS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research (NIASR) which houses specialized laboratory facilities required for the master’s program. The research grants earned and collaborations established by our Nanomedicine faculty with national and international institutions will be utilized to facilitate students’ thesis research projects. Our graduates will work with bio-industries to develop new biomedical nanotechnologies. We are in the capital; from here, you can go anywhere with the edge in the graduate job market. In the coming years, Nanomedicine will undoubtedly become the driving force for a new set of healthcare applications. For those students who wish to enter the job market post-graduation in Nanomedicine, a variety of possible employment opportunities will exist, such as:

  • Teaching and research in academic institutions.
  • Research positions in various government departments.
  • Clinical or research laboratory manager to carry out day-to-day activities in a variety of laboratories.
  • Quality assurance/control scientist to perform tests on products, to ensure quality.
  • Research scientist - A member of a research group who will help to write grant proposals, design and carry out experiments, produce and analyze data.
Admission Criteria/Eligibility:
  • Candidates with sixteen years of education (M.Sc./BS) from HEC-recognized institutes (National/International), having a background in the following subject areas, can apply for a Master of Science in Nanomedicine
  1. Biosciences (Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology)
  2. Health Sciences (MBBS/BDS/Medical Technologies)
  3. Nanotechnology
  4. Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharm-D, B-Pharm)
  • NUMS Entry test with a minimum 50% score
  • The candidate for graduate programs will have to qualify the interview conducted by the Graduate Admission Committee
